Samantha + Michael’s Charlottesville Wedding
I couldn’t have been more excited to spend time with Samantha and Michael capturing their big day. I knew every detail would be in place for their Charlottesville Wedding. It would be intimate, regal and relaxing.
What made us even more excited, besides the fact that we love making awesome wedding films, was how excited Samantha was to have us there. See, she knows how meaningful a love story is. Plus, she’s a photographer and has an eye for stunning visuals. From the first moment she emailed me about natural light and corn-hole boards – it was over ; we clearly hit it off instantly. Samantha was a Bride blogger for Borrowed and Blue in the months leading up to her wedding and she also shared many images and sneak peeks at the decor and details well before the event had even begun…to say that I was excited to capture all of these stunning, sometimes DIY details is a gross understatement.
Mike thoroughly enjoyed hanging with Michael and his groomsmen in the morning! We were so honored to spend the day with true American heroes and see the friendships that arose from years in the Army. From the moment we joined Samantha and Michael as they prepared for their day, we felt as though we had known them for years. Plus with Aspen around – who wouldn’t fall in love with this adorable little family!
They had their ceremony at the UVA Chapel in Charlottesville, and chose to have an intimate backyard wedding at their family’s hilltop home just outside of town. So many fabulous vendors helped to make this wedding a reality, here they are :)
